Partial Hospitalization Program
Partial Hospitalization Programs at Banyan Heartland
As an addition to the Banyan Treatment Center network of facilities, the experts at Heartland offer a seamless transition from detox and residential treatment to our lower levels of care. This includes an off-site partial hospitalization program (PHP) at our Banyan Chicago facility, located in Naperville, IL. Just a short drive from Heartland, patients are able to continue their recovery efforts in a more relaxed, home-like setting. At Banyan Heartland, you will receive an all-inclusive treatment experience, as our specialists tailor services and programming to fit your exact needs. Before leaving us, each individual will have the necessary skills to live a life free from addiction and alcoholism.
What is PHP?
Our Partial Hospitalization Program, otherwise known as PHP, provides clients with full-time addiction and co-occurring disorder treatment, in a less restrictive environment. PHP often serves as step-down from residential treatment, which still offers an intensive therapeutic regiment, but allows patients to begin integrating back into society.
During the day, patients will attend clinical groups and one-on-one sessions with their therapist, which focus on treatment plan objectives that have been customized to fit the individual. In the evening, patients are allowed to stay home, in order to take a break from the rigorous clinical schedule, as well as attend local 12-step meetings and begin building a foundation in the recovery community.
At Heartland’s off-site PHP program, our primary objective is to prepare patients for life outside of rehab. By implementing everything learned during the course of treatment into everyday life situations, individuals are given the best possible chance towards ongoing recovery and success.
Clients are required to participate in a minimum of 25 hours of clinical groups per week, which include individual sessions, group therapy, family therapy, and counseling based on individual treatment plans and strategies. At Banyan Heartland, we recognize that each person that comes to us, brings their own unique set of situations and circumstances with them. Thus, our experienced team of professionals work together to construct personalized programming that target the exact needs of the patient.
Through the utilization of various behavioral and holistic approaches, our therapists look beyond the mere symptoms of the disease, and are able to treat the whole individual. Patients begin to delve deeper into the root causes of their disorder, while creating healthier thinking and behaviors that foster growth and recovery. Some of the modalities we utilize in our practices include motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mental health and dual diagnosis treatment, family/couples therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and more. These methods are used in conjunction with a 12-step model or alternatively, SMART Recovery, which all of our staff are certified in.

"Banyan was able to help me more than words can describe. They helped me save my life. I called in not really knowing what to expect or anything about treatment and the people I spoke with were able to walk me through every step of the way."
