Partial Hospitalization Programs at Banyan Heartland
As a part of the Banyan Treatment Centers network of facilities, we offer a seamless transition from detox and residential treatment in Gilman, Illinois to lower level programs. These programs are for those looking to continue their recovery with the care and support of the Banyan family as they progress through treatment.
To help our patients in their journey to lasting sobriety, Banyan Heartland offers an off-site partial hospitalization program (PHP) at our Banyan Chicago facility, located in Naperville, IL. Just a short drive from Gilman, patients are able to continue their recovery efforts in a more relaxed, home-like setting.
What Is PHP?
Our partial hospitalization program or PHP in Illinois provides clients with full-time addiction and co-occurring disorder treatment in an environment that provides a careful balance between structure and freedom. PHP is a step-down from other more intensive treatment programs that provides a thorough therapeutic regiment in a less restrictive environment. Partial hospitalization programs are designed to help bridge the gap between inpatient programming and life outside of rehab. PHPs are a good option for people with outside work, family, school, or other personal commitments.
What to Expect with Our Partial Hospitalization in Illinois
At Heartland’s off-site PHP program, our primary objective is to prepare patients for a life of sobriety once their time at rehab is complete. We recognize that each person that comes to us brings their own unique set of situations and circumstances with them. To give each patient their greatest chance of success, our experienced team of professionals work together to construct a personalized programming plan that targets the specific needs of each patient.
During the day, clients are required to participate in a minimum of 25 hours of clinical groups per week. This programming includes individual counseling sessions, group therapy programs, family therapy, and other therapies for addiction. Through the utilization of various behavioral and holistic approaches, our certified therapists look beyond the mere symptoms of the disease and are able to treat the whole individual. Patients begin to delve deeper into the root causes of their disorder while creating healthier thinking and behaviors that foster growth and recovery.
In the evening, patients are allowed to stay home in order to take a break from their rigorous clinical schedule. Patients are also encouraged to attend local 12-step meetings and begin building a foundation in the recovery community.
Because patients are beginning to transition back into everyday life situations, they are also exposed to the outside world and its many addiction triggers for the first time. Our partial hospitalization program in Illinois can help patients address these triggers as well as other struggles related to recovery in a more immediate manner to reduce the risk of relapse. Because recovery is a learning process, patients are also able to learn with the guidance of our staff and their peers, instead of being forced to figure it out on their own.
